The President of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has led Tanzanians in celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Independence of Mainland Tanzania held on December 09, 2021 at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam
At the ceremony, Hon. President Samia inspected the parade organized by the Tanzania People's Defense Forces in collaboration with the Defense and Security Forces and received greetings of allegiance, then the parade passed in front of him politely and quickly.
The 60th Anniversary of Independence Day celebrations were attended by the President of Kenya Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta who was the guest of honor, the President of Rwanda Hon. Paul Kagame, President of Mozambique Hon. Philepe Nyusi, President of the Comoros Islands Hon. Azali Assoumani, Representatives of Leaders from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Oman and Swaziland as well as Ambassadors representing their countries in the country.
Meanwhile , the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Hon. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has received 14 Medals as part of the 893 Medals he awarded to the Chiefs of Defense and Security Forces in the country.
